Long before establishing L’Artiste, our music director Mr. Joseph Lee had been writing articles and music appreciation courses for different newspapers. In addition, he has provided a myriad of program notes for The Leisure and Cultural Services Department, local orchestras and other organisations.
In 2007, Joseph began a 10-year project with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, which included publishing two articles per month, with the aim to promote the culture of classical music in Hong Kong. The project has resulted in more than 200 reader-friendly articles, covering a vast variety of topics. We have refined and translated some of these into English, and added other essays recently written by Joseph and Fiona, to share with you here every month.
